While we still have a little winter weather and a few more gray days ahead of us in Pittsburgh, it won’t be too long before everything is blooming and the days are longer and lazy.

Here’s a recent wedding album from a beautiful wedding on a warm sunny day this past summer, just to brighten the spirits.

We had 8 albums delivered yesterday, so more to come…..

I have to laugh when my neighbors ask me “well, you only photograph weddings on the weekends, it must me nice to have all week off”. Our current wedding clients see how much work is involved from our initial consultation through the delivery of their wedding album, typically 50 to 60 hours of work from start to finish.

While weddings are our primary focus, to allow us to concentrate our customer service, our plan this year is to reduce the number of weddings we accept by a few and increase our senior business with a limited number of commissions.

Check out our new senior website - In-Vision Seniors -It’s still a bit of work in progress but it’s getting there.

We’ve started a model search for our senior ambassadors for seniors graduating in 2009. If you know of any high school seniors who might be interested in participating, please have them contact us at 412.781.5773

Candidates must be a Junior High School Student in 2008/2009 school year and be an In-Vision Studio, Inc. Senior Portrait client.
Selected models receive portrait credits and are automatically registered in the Senior Portrait Artist’s national model search. A model release must be signed by each model and a parent or guardian.

We’re still here! Now that it’s our wedding off-season, I’ve been totally focused on finalizing our albums from our winter weddings.

Barb’s been very busy with the countless details of keeping the studio running and getting ready for the upcoming season while trying to knock off some of our long-term projects .

We’re really excited about our interesting mix of upcoming weddings this year, from outdoor weddings at Nemacolin, Armstrong Farms and Springwood to receptions at the Omni William Penn, Carnegie Museum and The Renaissance. While most of our dates during prime wedding season are full, we do have some open dates here and there throughout the year. We usually receive a lot of inquiries after Valentine’s Day - OK guys, it’s time - you know it’s right, go for it!

I’m working on Renee and Rick’s album this week - I’m really enjoying remembering their wedding day along with all of their wonderful family and friends. I thought I would share a few of my favorite pictures from their wedding day this morning before I dig back into their design.

Renee and Rick were married at the Butler Mansion in December - a very cool and unique location for a smaller wedding.

Renee and Rick operate a small Alpaca Farm - they are the coolest animals, although they weren’t totally digging the attention.

Larry Goyda conducted his usual beautiful ceremony. Renee’s gorgeous gown was a custom creation from Bridal Treasures. That amazing cake was from Autumn’s Cakes of Butler, PA, floral decorations by Butler Floral, Steven Vance serenaded the crowd with with his violin, doubling as a DJ and Rick from Cala Lily Cafe did an absolutely fantastic job with catering.
