She recently reconnected with an old friend and wants to share the photos from one of our sessions with her.
That request sent me on a trip down memory lane. We’ve been photographing Jacob, Lucas and Noah every year since the days of film. This year, Jacob turned 18!
While we are generating ideas for this year’s session, I think a look back is in order – a gentle reminder to get a great photograph of your family every year!

Last week, we were reunited with one of favorite babies!  Leila is the 9 month old daughter of Abir & Bob, whose wedding we photographed in May of 2008.   What a doll she is!  Here are a few images from her Newborn and 6 month sessions and a sneak peak at her 9 month session. If I had to pick only one tradition to carry on, it would be seeing  my family and friends.  Since we are scattered in so many directions, the next best thing for me is the daily trip to the mailbox.  I LOVE getting cards in the mail!  If a friend included a note or photos of kids growing like weeds – I actually feel – - – happy!

Okay, I’m kidding really – but what better way to preserve the absoulte stunning beauty of a winter snow storm than through photographs?  I can think of nothing better on a hot sunny day then to sit with a cold drink in hand and gaze at scenes of a freezing cold winter day!

We had the chance to photograph a few wintry sessions, including these fabulous photos of Kim, Kelsey & Nolan.  The kids were willing models and so adorable; red-headed twins!!  No words needed to describe Mom’s good looks but what most strikes me about her is her powerful love for her kids.  I love looking at these photos because I remember the tender look on her face as she watched her kids being photographed.

For anyone else willing to brave the elements with us – let’s go!

Their visits  have inspired me to dedicate the next few posts to families – lots of photos to share!

We enjoy photographing weddings and watching two  people start a new family;  young couples with their brand new babies;  young families busy with activities; parents of teenagers steadying themselves to let them loose alone; (yeah, that pretty much describes me!) and finally, proud grandparents with growing clans.  We are constantly reminded how quickly each of these stages pass.
