It was a big challenge for the families and bridal party to make it in and out of The Renaissance Hotel during the G20, but everything worked out and everyone finally arrived.

Their ceremony at St. Paul’s Cathedral was followed by a reception at Le Mont, which Candace an Matt chose to showcase the beauty of Pittsburgh’s skyline. Barb and I always enjoy working there – it’s a beautiful room and the staff and service are always efficient and professional.

It was drizzling most of the day and chilly, but the bridal party were good sports and forged outside at the West End Overlook. We had a lot of fun.

The Finesse Band with Sal Richetti, one of the top bands in the city were in rare form – they really sounded great and the guests responded – a super fun party and the end of a perfect day.

Le Mont provided their cake, Gordon Shu the videography, Bloomingdalia the florals, Molly’s Trolly the transportation and Candace’s gorgeous gown was a Stephen Yearick creation from Ann Gregory.

Candace and Matt just returned from what they said was an amazing honeymoon in Greece.

Cecily and Mike used to live and spend a lot of in the South Side, so it was a natural spot for their engagement session. We had a great time just wandering around, chatting and then a quick drive up to Mt. Washington for some beautiful light at dusk. They’ll be getting married next August at St. Paul’s Cathedral with a reception at the Carnegie Museum Music Hall Foyer.

Candace and Matt are such a fun loving couple – we had a great time playing around at the North Shore near Heinz Field. Maybe one day we can make Matt a Steeler’s fan – nah probably not, but a little friendly competition from the other side of the state is a good thing.

Barb and I are really looking forward to wedding day in September – we understand that we’ll  have an animated group of friends and family. We’ll have a lot of fun.

For many of our clients, this is the first time they’ve been photographed by a professional and it does take a while to get warmed up….but, after a few minutes, it becomes old hat and by the end of the session, we’ve developed a great rapport which makes wedding day more relaxed.

I usually do a mix with some photographs looking at the camera for grandma, but my favorites are always those when our couples just interact and play, showing their love for each other.

Erin and Brad and getting married next August at St. Paul’s Cathedral and the PAA. They’re so much fun. – I can’t wait for wedding day!

Maria and Salvatore were married on August 16th at St. Paul’s Cathedral with a reception following at The Omni William Penn.

I first met Maria at Club One – her favorite treadmill was next to mine. She would come in, run flat out for an hour, hair flapping under her ball cap and just pretty much put me to shame after which she would teach an aerobics or pilates class.

Maria is the owner, artistic director and dancer at Biography, a noted contemporary ballet ensemble.  Her youngest students entertained us during the reception with wonderful performances.

Maria chose her Mom who she considers to be her best friend, as her matron of honor, which I thought was so cool and really special.

The bridal party was a total blast – what a great group of friends. Salvatore, or Sam to his good friends, is a real gentleman. I think Barb and I are opposites in a lot of way and as they say opposites attract. Sam is such a warm hearted guy – a bit reserved, where Maria is, well, not shy.

Maria and Sam honeymooned in Italy and just returned at the end of August.

Maria’s gorgeous gown is a Sottero and Midgley creation. Their cake was a real work of art by Fenogliettl Bakery and Michael at Blooms Florist, always creative and inventive, did an amazing job with the arrangements and bouquets.
