I wasn’t sure how my first motherless Mother’s Day was going to feel. I could only imagine being sad beyond words. I headed to Cincinnati for the weekend by myself to watch Kate’s final rowing race of the season. By the middle of the day on Saturday, I was joined by my sister, her family, Steve, and our son Dave. What a fabulous weekend of camping, visiting, racing and motoring! We missed Nina, but it turns out we will see her this weekend in Boston. And at the end of the day, I believe my Mom let me know that she isn’t so far away after all.
LOVE YOUR MOM!!!!

Barb,
This was my second motherless mother’s day and it was great spending time with my sisters and visiting Mom in her resting place in Pittsburgh. I just hope they didn’t throw away the flowers already. They were so beautiful.
