Erika and Adam were married on September 23rd at Oglebay in Wheeling,WV. Oglebay is a beautiful location. It’s a fantastic getaway weekend from Pittsburgh, with tons of stuff to do – a beautiful lodge, horseback riding, great golf, a zoo for the kids, paddle boats, swimming, tennis, skiing and snowboarding. The original mansion is still standing, with a glass museum and environmental center.
And, it’s a perfect location for an outdoor wedding. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate, so the wedding was moved inside to the ballroom. While I know that Erika and Adam were a little disappointed, I was so happy to see that they took it all in stride and just had a blast at their wedding.
It really was a fun day, with a luncheon reception at Glessner.
Walt Harper Band played at lunch – he’s a legendary Pittsburgh jazz artist and is always amazing.
It stopped raining shortly after the ceremony, so we were able to take a few minutes and get some shots around the mansion and gardens.
They hosted an evening, casual barbecue on the grounds behind the mansion. What a great time! The band was fantastic.
Erika and Adam honeymooned in Hawaii. I’m sure you guys are tired, but welcome back. I hope you had a lot of fun. Steve
